Jack Webb on “A Quirk in the Law”

Fridays for Friday Doubleheader

Last week’s doubleheader was so well received that I decided to deliver a double-dose of Jack Webb action again! This time, it’s from the 1967 Dragnet TV movie, and Joe Friday has had just about enough from a filthy child molester he has busted!

All I have to say is, “Thank God it’s Friday!”

I wish I could have had him come to my house and give my teenagers a talking to.

    Thelma,

Those teens would be lucky to be on the business end of a stern reprimand by Mr. Jack Webb!

And by the way, folks, ‘ADW’ is police talk for ‘Assault with a Deadly Weapon.’

You learn all sorts of cool stuff watching Dragnet and Adam 12!

Jack Webb speaks like I would if I were in his position but I’d likely add some other %$#@ language to that vile filth he is speaking to! There will never be anyone to equal your idol, Vinnie Vegas.

    NWVeryBerry,

The truth does have a distinctive ring to it, doesn’t it? I wish there were more people out there like Mr. Webb, but the fact is that he is one in a million. One in ten million. He is one of my great heroes and idols, and yes there will never be one quite like him!

Smart-mouthed punks everywhere, take note! And let us note that in that reprimand, Friday also takes a stand for civil rights. This guy can do it all!

    Jaytee,

Mr. Webb has never let us down! And he makes a lot of sense in this clip – the kind of practical, real world insight that law school professors and judges can’t seem to absorb. A shame!
