Evan Sayet Weekend at The Silver State Chronicles continues
Evan Sayet has been a top Hollywood writer and producer for more than 20 years. After the September 11 attacks, Sayet decided to step from behind the camera and speak out in his own voice – that of one of the nation’s top political satirists.
On March 3, 2009, almost two years to the date of his first lecture at The Heritage Foundation, Mr. Sayet returned to continue his exploration of the modern liberal “mindset” and how it can lead to siding with evil over good and behaviors that produce failure rather than success.
One of my favorite commentators about modern day liberals is Evan Sayet, a successful comedy writer and post 9/11 conservative convert. Welcome aboard, Mr Sayet!
Evan Sayet has been a top Hollywood writer and producer for more than 20 years. His credits range from “The Arsenio Hall Show” to “Politically Incorrect.” After the Sept. 11 attacks, Sayet decided to step from behind the camera and speak out in his own voice – that of one of the nation’s top political satirists.
Mr Sayet spoke at The Heritage Foundation on March 5, 2007. His entertaining yet quite serious lecture, “Regurgitating the Apple: How Modern Liberals ‘Think’” examines the modern liberal “mindset” and how it can lead to siding with evil over good and behaviors that produce failure rather than success.
I hope you enjoyed the observations of Mark Steyn I posted yesterday. The moderator of that panel was the very talented Evan Sayet, a self described ’9-13 Republican’ and accomplished comedy writer and stand up comedian.
Mr. Sayet left the liberal ranks shortly after the Septermber 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, and sees the political left with unusual insight and clarity.
Please enjoy his presentation at David Horowitz’s Restoration Weekend in Palm Beach Florida, on November 16, 2007.
I am a pretty big fan of social & political commentator Mark Steyn, so I am sure to scan YouTube regularly for any interviews by this wise and learned man. I cane upon this clip from a panel discussion hosted by American Freedom Alliance and moderated by the also great Evan Sayet.
The panel also had Ibn Warraq, Mark Steyn, Douglas Murray, and Sally McNamara. and was presented on June 10, 2007 at Pepperdine University.
I am posting an 8-minute clip of Steyn riffing on the silliness of multiculturalism and the dangers presented by a warm, fuzzy commitment to that mentality.
