JJ looks like the late Ronnie Van Zant here (lead singer of the classic lineup of Lynyrd Skynyrd. Unfortunately he would trade this look for a ripoff of Bono (remember those wraparound shades), a near fatal career choice in my book.
However, for a tune that defines a country-fried wrestling character, the nod goes to “Don’t Go Messin’ With a Country Boy” by Hillbilly Jim, whom you can hear each Saturday afternoon on Sirius’ Outlaw Country channel.
Commander,
I actually like this incarnation of Jeff Jarrett, certainly better than latter incarnations like ‘The Chosen One’ in WCW.
I recall a Jarrett-Sting match in WCW where Sting was attacked by numerous incarnations of himself, that evidently traveled through time to attack him. Sone high quality WCW booking going on there.
In any event, I joked at the time that Jarret should be attacked by his WWF ‘Double J’ incarnation, who would Jackie Fargo strut down the ramp and hit him with a guitar.
And yes, here’s to ‘Don’t Go Messin’ With a Country Boy!
