I have to give him props, though, for a graceful, Astaire-like recovery. And this week he barely batted an eyelash when his teleprompter fell and shattered.

Still, it would be funny to see LBJ do something like this and shout, “Goddammit, who put that goddamn step there?!”

All I can think, is how this would have been plastered all over the media if this had been, say, a Republican prez like Dubya or Gerald Ford! It would be so easy to portray Obama as an ineffectual bumbler, if the media had a mind to. We may see that theory tested, though, since something tells me that very soon the thrill is going to stop running up their collective legs!
