Those are some strange mascots, I grant you! The 2008 Beijing mascots are strange – ostensibly pandas, they remind me more of alien invaders, like the Teletubbies.

Maybe some things just get lost in translation!

I looked at that webpage, and I have to say: his pals are a whale-bear and a whale-bear-thunderbird? How did someone as ordinary as a sasquatch get into that lineup? Canada is clearly spending too much time on those Lord of the Rings/Star Wars fan fiction sites. Maybe we should get Canada a girlfriend!
