Is the honeymoon over?

After going to bat for GOP support in the House for the Democrat Stimulus Bill, and striking out, are people starting to think that Barry is a bit overrated?  After only about two weeks in office?

Liberal Flameout

President Obama may be riding high in Washington, but OBAMA 1260 is not.

The area’s only progressive talk station is changing formats, dropping such syndicated liberal hosts as Ed Schultz, Stephanie Miller and Bill Press in favor of financial news, starting next week.

The move by Redskins owner Dan Snyder, who purchased the station, WWRC, and others in Washington last summer, leaves the city without a liberal radio outlet. Program Director Greg Tantum says he thought the station could work because of enthusiasm over Obama, but that ratings collapsed to a level that could not be measured after the election.

But ratings nearly doubled, he says, at Snyder’s conservative station, WTNT, which features Laura Ingraham and Bill Bennett. Tantum said he will move Schultz to WTNT to give him another shot.

What need is there for liberal talk radio anyway? I could understand the need for a counterweight when the GOP was either in control or had enough votes in Congress to scuttle the left’s agenda. But now it’s mission accomplished: The Messiah is ensconsed in the White House while Reid and Pelosi have a stranglehold on the legislative agenda.

Perhaps this is why the left is so busy going after the only major target left — and it’s a wide one — Rush Limbaugh.

Given that most of the mainstream media has a liberal bias, it’s disingenuous for the left to call foul at conservative talk radio. Indeed, if they really are after ‘fairness,’ why not let the network news every night be 15 minutes from a liberal perspective, and 15 minutes from a conservative perspective?

As it stands, most of the network news now is hopelessly liberal in its bias, to the point of self parody. Why not carry this ‘fairness doctrine’ nonsense to tv, too?

I always smirk whenever I see Barry on the tube these days. He’s shaping up to be the least presidential President we’ve had in memory. Spiritually, he’s the real first post-war, laptop generation President: shallow, self-absorbed, and complacent; his greatest ambition and achievement: his own self-promotion. Forget about Lilly Ledbetter; he couldn’t be more pleased with himself for signing that bill. He’s a legend in his own mind.

He always strikes me as a man who’s in over his head. And, of course, he is. He has no meaningful experience to speak of, and he’s been placed in charge of one resolving one of the worst financial crises in our history. Now, how would any person with common sense expect that to pan out?

Even now, instead of turning to substantive matters, he wastes his time and ours trying to earn points with the public by taking disingenuous token shots at CEO bonuses. It may make the people feel better, but in the end, this shallow piece of legislation will have no real effect. And he knows it. Or even worse, he doesn’t know it.

Ah, but now, the bill’s coming due. People aren’t going to be satisfied with his uplifting calls for hope much longer. He’s going to have to do something of real substance, and soon. And my bet is, he won’t. He and his “new era” colleagues are already in the process of botching this badly, and the irony is, when we conservatives return to power, and attempt to undo the mess Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Frank, Rangel and the rest have made, they will be filled indignation and astonishment, that the American People could be “fooled” again . . . and so racist!

Very well said and I agree 100%.

The first thing to do when you have dug yourself into a hole is to stop digging! But it seems Barry and the crew keep on digging! Works for me!
