No, not depressed at all. Barry isn’t my choice to be president, but we have to be fair and give him a fair chance. See what he does.
If he tries to keep his promises and succeeds, I’ll be more alienated from him and his administration. But we can’t be like the liberals, who immediately went into petulant mode and accused Dubya of all sorts of baseless slurs.
It would be fitting to threat Obama with the same kind of support liberals treated Dubya. But we’re better people than that! So I think its best we hope for a bright future for the USA, yet be the loyal opposition on matters of principle and policy.
Well, I dare say most of the readers of this blog are not thrilled with the outcome, but I’m sure we all wish President Obama well in his efforts. He certainly has a lot on his plate, and it certainly won’t be good for the country should he blow it. I can’t help but believe, though, that four years of Democrat-controlled goverment will have the people yearning for a return to Republican common sense in 2012, if not sooner in 2010!
Either way, this is going to be a very interesting administration. V.V. will have much to write about!
You bet! We’re the loyal opposition. Hope for the best for the USA, as always. Any less, and we would be like the miserable lowlifes among the political left! ;-)
You’re right VV, we are better than that. I wish him success for the sake of this country. Nobody wants to see the country go down. It will be interesting to see what he does, but at the same time, we’re paying attention.
I wish to state that “they” are the opposition in my esteem and I give them nothing from me to go on except far worse than they gave President Bush with Laura included!!! If they ruin my country I’ll say #$@%!$^%@$ bunches of times….get ready, fasten seat belts and for the weak… wear ear plugs; the ‘cussing’ begins soon!
What do you think? Hopeful for the future–2010, 2012? Depressed?
B-mom,

Keep the faith!
