Cindy McCain for Miss Buffalo Chip at Sturgis?

I’m intrigued….

“Popps” McCain got quite the response from the motorcycle enthusiasts at Sturgis earlier today.  He took the opportunity to suggest that his bride Cindy enter the annual beauty contest that’s part of the show, a proposal that was enthusiastically welcomed by the bikers in attendance.

Well, turns out that the biker babes often compete in the contest topless, and sometimes bottomless, too!

Frankly I find the prospect appealing – Cindy is quite the fox, after all!  But this does raise the chilling spectre that Obama may enter his bride in the beauty contest, too.  It’s bad enough that he has to see her naked, why should we?

Gotta say, he looks so uncomfortable being next to her. Hope their marriage is better than that. You’d think he’d at least fake affection for the sake of image. That was one things the Clintons could do.

Some couples just aren’t that physically affectionate in public. Everyone is different. As far as the presentation goes, I agree that it would be better if they looked more comfortable around each other.

Of course it can go overboard the other way. Remember the sloppy wet kiss that Al Gore shared with his wife Tipper at the 2000 DNC? Sheesh, I lost my lunch. Lets keep middle aged love where it belongs – behind closed doors! ;-)

    Just my opinion folk!

I think Cindy and John look fabulous together, the rather rough hewn Man with an awesome past, present and future married the rich Princess and lived happily ever after not needing public displays of affection especially in their line of current aspirations; and it is not appropriate at all to do that!

The gagified fake Clinton’s with their fake austere agendas married the fake each other and it has been all too easy to see (Yuck when I see them touch even though it’s always faked lightly) that their fakeness keeps on keeping on. They are a couple of fakes American Conservatives would have loved to never have had to endure their public scandalous machinations.

I don’t believe John McCann would ever ‘do’ a subordinate as president of the United States right in the White House at that, nor do I believe Cindy would tolerate such by any stretch by going on National Television denying he “did it.”

John McCain knows being a prisoner of war is a hell beyond describing, but if he betrayed Cindy, I think he would change his mind when she finished with him.

I think a more affectionate public relationship with Cindy wouldn’t hurt him, but like I wrote every couple is different and I think they are being true to who they are – clearly a loving couple but one not particularly publicly affectionate.

      It’s all good.

All I’m saying is, you just said your wife is beautiful, and should be a beauty queen. While the crowd cheers, would it kill you to briefly put a playful arm around her, rather than creep away to the opposite side of the stage, leaving her to shuffle nervously by herself? Wouldn’t that at least play better to the voters? It’s a little thing, I know, and has nothing to do with how he’d govern our country, but that small absence of affection just made Cindy look a little sad, to me.

Like I wrote, every couple is different and I suspect that’s just the way they are.

    In my opinion:

His wife I believe is or was a beauty queen but probably she is just a beautiful socialite heiress who has all the qualities of a beauty queen minus so far as I can discern the huge bloated ego.

Stating his wife is beautiful and beauty queen material in front of the world is a perfectly lovely thing to do. Cindy seems to be a self assured lady.

But I do believe it would harm him physically disability wise to hug her. Possibly his broken arms and back from prisoner of war years of heinous torture keeps him from hugging anyone in public, I don’t think his arms reach up and out so-called normally. I have not seen him hug anyone but I have seen him hold hands often with Cindy and many others. I’ve seen him with his arm around her and others who do not cause him to reach up awkwardly. When he shakes hands I have noted it is not the normal way those without disabilities shake hands.

      NWberry,

That is a good point I had not considered – McCain is clearly in pain a lot of the time from his shoulderblades being smashed decades ago by his VC captors, and he didn’t get proper medical attention for them at the time (POW camps don’t have crackerjack medical facilities in that part of the world).

It’s entirely possible, maybe even likely, that his range of motion is so limited when it comes to his arms, he simply can’t be more affectionate.

McCain is a hero and 20x the man I am, I’m not ashamed to say it. He endured a lot. He wasn’t my pick for GOP nominee, but he sure as hell has my vote in November!

And to extend credit where credit is due, Cindy McCain is quite an attractive woman. She is in her mid 50′s and looks great. That old dog Big Mac is doing good for a 71 year old! ;-)
