Lena really outclasses The Bachelors. At the end, her single voice cuts through the rest of their voices and dominates. Bravo!
Bob Lido sat in during rehearsals, but the producers bumped him at the last minute.
Seriously, though, I watched a documentary on our girl, and the story makes Karen Caprenter’s life look like a picnic. Her manager took her away from her family and her emotional growth was pretty much stunted at that point. Not that home life on a small Scottish island was a bed of roses: an alcoholic mother who committed suicide and a somewhat clueless father.
Commander, I have seen a documentary about her, also, and yes, her brief life was very sad. A true shame. We honor her extraordinary talent this week at The SSC – hope you dig it!
