A more recent entry into the Christmas songbook!
Christmas-themed entertainment is always a great investment -- if it’s 1/2-way decent, you can count on your song, movie, or tv special to get repeat business in the last month of every year. Those residuals add up!
So of course, our friends at Disney stacked the deck with the second entry into their Santa Clause franchise, including a song by young Hilary Duff in the soundtrack. Cross-marketing at its finest! A shame she just does a lip-sync and not a live performance, but that may have just been too much of a challenge and to be fair, her target audience can’t tell the difference anyway.
Enjoy ‘Down Santa Claus Lane!’

You are very fair, her audiences can’t tell she is doing a lip-synch. I just tested my eight years in age granddaughter, who happens to love Hillary Duff and the comment was; “Oh G’Ma, I love Hillary Duff singing ‘Down Santa Claus Lane,’ isn’t she a great singer?”
To be fair to my precious granddaughter; give her some time and she really will learn about the come and go and the here to stay music and singers.
Merry Christmas Vinnie Vegas! I love your blog!
Here’s to Hillary Duff, idol of millions! :-)
Well, I have loved Hillary Duff for a long time. She wholesome, she’s never been arrested and she hasn’t been caught on film falling over drunk or coming out of her car and flashing the world like Britney. She is a great role model and I don’t care if she lip-synchs. Besides, her lip-synch is a LOT better than some of the “live” singing that I hear these days. So there.
Hillary Duff is aok in my book, too!
