Yep, that world class mental giant, Bob ‘Yusef’ Herbert, was caught with his slip showing on ‘Morning Joe’ on MSNBC this morning. At one point, he demands to know exactly why he thinks about large phallic symbols when he sees images of that hunky Barry Obama. Using his own word, “POW!”
It must be seen to be believed.
Herbert is so delirious by his unbridled, runaway passions that he insists he sees The Washington Monument and the Leaning Tower of Pisa in the commercial.
Now, I know I am one of those Americanos who embarrasses Barry by going to places like Germany and not speaking German. All I can manage is ‘Merci Beaucoup,’ which I admit doesn’t get you very far on the streets of Berlin!
But unlike world-class minds like Bob Herbert, even I know the difference between the Washington Monument & The Leaning Tower of Pisa, and The Victory Column in Berlin.
Yep, poor Bob misidentified The Victory Column for both The Washington Monument and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. I particularly like the self satisfied look on Herbert’s face as he invites an incredulous Pat Buchanan to “run the ad again and take a look at it!”
Bob is clearly off the mark on historic buildings, but far more troubling is his obsession with phallic objects. (Not that there’s anything wrong with that….) I gotta side with Pat: say what you want about their mental faculties, but when Paris and Britney are on screen, I ain’t looking at the background!
And, given Herbert’s ridiculously tortured, lurid Rorschach test result, I’d say it’s not Barack who’s jonesing for white women!

This program and video is gross absolutely gross and I “ain’t no prude.” His obsession with phallic symbols or phallic anything and on national TV, is telling on him and making me ill frankly… but then again no telling if staff of BO intentionally did this in a video then had MSNBC run it, I place nothing past these types.
If not, look out Barry, seems you have another set of odd fans to deal with and it ‘ain’t purty’ on your and the Mrs.’s behalf.
By the way where have they stashed Geradine these days? Duck tape you say? Oh, OK, I understand now!

Hey at least MSDNC had the good sense to bring on Buchanan looking completely befuddled by Herbert’s comments. ” . . . I’m not looking at the background.”
Herbert’s so busy looking for racial implications that he misses the point of the ad completely: Obama may be the perfect candidate for our vapid, tabloid celebrity-driven times, but can he lead?

Bob Herbert missing the point - it’s the story of his long career. It must take some effort on his part to consistently be off the mark.
With supporters like Herbert, Obama has his work cut out for him!
