A Semi-Biographical Song
I had the pleasure of seeing ‘Bugsy Malone’ in a movie theater when it first came out! At the time, I felt an immediate connection with Fat Sam’s gang, Knuckles, Ritzy, Angelo, & Snake Eyes! I always felt quite simpatico with the movie’s showstopper, ‘Bad Guys.’
As I matured, I came to consider the song semi-biographical!
An inspiration to creeps and jerks everywhere. And the song ain’t bad neither!

It’s a classic tune and an anthem for creeps and jerks, everywhere. Hardly a week goes by that the song doesn’t dance through my head at least once!
Credit Paul Williams with writing (and singing) most of the songs in ‘Bugsy Malone.’ The film is full of toe-tappers, but ‘Bad Guys’ remains my longtime favorite!
This movie doesn’t make the rounds much, anymore. Think it’s just too hot for modern sensibilities?
