Bigfoot Near Las Vegas?

Sasquatch Near Sin City?

Art Bell’s Coast to Coast radio show is often filled with stories of the strange and unusual. But this weekend, he reported a story that broke on The Chattanoogan: seems like some folks caught video of ol’ Bigfoot right here in my backyard!

Bigfoot Near Las Vegas?

The story reports…

Lindsay Lemmon and Austin McGee said after returning from a trip out west, they found that video shot out the window along I-40 in New Mexico has a glimpse of what appears to be a hulking furry figure walking.

Mr. Lemmon, a local contractor who specializes in historic homes, said, “I’m still skeptical, but it does look like a figure to me. If it was a prank, then it was awfully hot and it was out in the middle of nowhere.”

Mr. McGee, who shot the footage, is much more positive. He said, “I believe it whole-heartedly. Every time I look at it on the VCR I see a figure with real long arms hanging below the knees. He is walking and swinging those arms.”

He said a close examination of the figure reveals “a tan round face.”

Can’t wait to see the full video! If it’s compelling enough, I will once again don my pith helmet & safari gear and lead an expedition to capture the cagey beast once and for all! If he is indeed close to Las Vegas, the game is afoot!

Tutankhamun was not black: Egypt antiquities chief

Bloged in News by Vinnie Vegas Wednesday September 26, 2007

I’ve known this for years…

King Tut

Rense.com reports…

Tutankhamun was not black: Egypt antiquities chief

Tue Sep 25, 12:18 PM ET

Egyptian antiquities supremo Zahi Hawass insisted Tuesday that Tutankhamun was not black despite calls by US black activists to recognise the boy king’s dark skin colour.

“Tutankhamun was not black, and the portrayal of ancient Egyptian civilisation as black has no element of truth to it,” Hawass told reporters.

“Egyptians are not Arabs and are not Africans despite the fact that Egypt is in Africa,” he said, quoted by the official MENA news agency.

Hawass said he was responding to several demonstrations in Philadelphia after a lecture he gave there on September 6 where he defended his theory.

Protestors also claimed images of King Tut were altered to show him with lighter skin at the “Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs” exhibit which leaves Philadelphia for London on September 30.

The exhibition sparked an uproar when it kicked off in Los Angeles in June 2005 when black activists demanded that a bust of the boy king be removed because the statue portrays him as white.

The face of the legendary pharaoh, who died around 3,300 years ago at the age of just 19, was reconstructed in 2005 through images collected through CAT scans of his mummy.

The boy king’s intact tomb caused an international sensation when it was discovered by Briton Howard Carter in 1922 near Luxor in southern Egypt.

Hawaii 5-0: McGarrett vs The Hippies

Hawaii 5-0 Wisdom

Here in Las Vegas, one of my local tv stations runs the great police drama, Hawaii 5-0. GREAT SHOW! If tv were more like this, I would watch more!

1 2 Loading...

So I was checking out the rapidly fading YouTube for some cool 5-0 stuff, and came upon this great clip. In it, McGarrett gives a strong verbal reprimand to a handful of obnoxious, naive hippies!

Thanks, McGarrett - I couldn’t have said it better myself!

Bugsy Malone’s Showstopper - “Bad Guys”

Bloged in Cinema, Music, Sports, Video by Vinnie Vegas Tuesday September 4, 2007

A Semi-Biographical Song

I had the pleasure of seeing ‘Bugsy Malone’ in a movie theater when it first came out! At the time, I felt an immediate connection with Fat Sam’s gang, Knuckles, Ritzy, Angelo, & Snake Eyes! They perform the showstopper, ‘Bad Guys’ a song I always felt quite simpatico with.

As I matured, I came to consider the song semi-biographical!
