Are you ready for landmines in your lunchbox?? I know I wasn’t when I picked up this great comic book years ago in a bin of worn and tattered comic books at a convention back in old Manhattantown over 20 years ago. I can’t remember the story much, but it actually does have something to do with Don and his heroic alter-ego ‘Goody.’
It seems that Goody tries to do good (the antithesis of the insult-king Don) but just isn’t very good at it, confounding day-to-day life in Metropolis and being an all-around pain-in-the-neck for Superman. That makes for a compelling 18-page story! Boy, that one was sure worth 15 cents!
Superman’s Pal, Jimmy Olsen # 139 is currently worth $ 1.20 in ‘Fair’ condition! This comic ranks up there with one of my brother Dom’s favorite old Superman issues, an epic tale where exposure to Red Kryptonite turns The Man of Tomorrow into….Jerry Lewis? A classic!

It was actually a two-parter, illustrated by King Kirby, if I recall correctly. I think I still have my original copy, which I’ve always meant to get autographed by the King of Mean!

Kudos! This is an excellent collectors item, bringing together two of my heroes - The Man of steel and Mr. Warmth, himself!

I think you know everything! I lived with all these comic books as a child, all we had way back then for entertainment were comic books and radio, you are too young to know all this.
